Floods can happen in your bathroom at any time like from you sink, toilet, and your tub. It can be so bad that water will get in the walls and under the floor, which can cause water damage to that room. Water is the bad guy to walls, floors, and anything it comes in contact with because it will ruin your things. Water can find the smallest hole and it will push lots of water through. Every minute it can push a good amount of water and if there is too much, it will start to leak through the ceiling or under your house and the damage can be very bad. If you have hard wood floors the water will leak right through the cracks and you will start to see water dripping everywhere.
If you have tiles on your floor the water may not get in the cracks and the holes, but only if it is sealed good and tit. But the water will still get out from under the door and get you floors and your carpets, which can go through the whole hallway or in the other rooms depending on where the bathroom is at in your home. If the holes around the toilet are not sealed off right water will get down in there and cause water damage and as it set, the floor will start to become weak and you toilet can fall in because the floor as rotted away. It will also rot the wall behind the toilet and mold will grow under the tile if you have any or it will rot and bow the wood.
If you have wallpaper on your walls the water will stain it and if there is too much damage do it will start to fall off the walls and mold will grow and make black spots under it, which will show up in time when it spreads. Than you will have to replace the wood, the floor, and ceiling that the water had damaged, which will be very bad and not safe for your family because if you don't get it fixed you can fall in or the ceiling can fall in on you and hurt someone. When it falls on you can have debris everywhere like insulation, rotted wood, and the mold that will be in there. You need to watch what you are doing when you take a bath, run the water in the sink, or flush the toilet because you don't want to have a floor ruining your home.
