The Burning Fire Perms Can Cause To Your Head

Have you ever had someone give you a home perm? If you say that you have, then you know about the fire it can cause you to feel on your head and the look of scorched hair. I know about both because I have had it done to mine several times, and the really bad thing about all of it is that they were all done by the same person.

At the time of each perm, my hair was long, and two out of the three times, I was with child. She always left them in too long and instead of this nice perm, I ended up with the worst frizz that you could ever imagine. In the long run, I ended up having to cut my hair shorter to get rid of some of the frizz. Luckily, my hair grew pretty quickly so I didn't have to keep looking at this frizz for too long. When this happens, you can really have a bad time trying to get the hair to lay flat or even to keep the tangles and knots out of your hair. This can really make someone want to cut it all off because these knots will get close to the hair line at the back of your neck and cause you to pull these tender little hairs, and they hurt.

Out of five perms in my hair, I was only happy with one. It came out beautifully and lasted over a year and a half. Most perms don't last more than six months to a year. The last perm I had done I hated from the minute I woke up the next day, as it didn't really look good. I had a feeling when she started putting in the rollers that they were the wrong size, but I thought she knew what she was doing. My hair was long and thick. It took her three hours just to roll all my hair. After mine, I had her do my daughter's hair because she wanted a perm as well. Neither of our perms turned out well because my daughter's hair looked burnt, and mine didn't last for at least six months.

After that, we both started to cut our hair short, and we love it. We don't have to worry about the fire from the chemicals burning our heads, the smell burning our noses, or the fire of it getting in our eyes.
