Rocking The Boat At Work Could Land You In Hot Water

We must work to pay our bills and put food on the table. If we are lucky we have a job that we enjoy and make us feel satisfied with what we are doing everyday. That is not always the case for some people. Many times you end up taking a job out of desperation because you can not find anything else. Sometimes you take a job and have the best of expectations only to find out that it is not what you thought it would be.
This is more often the case when you take employment that is meant to be only temporary. This usually means that you need to continue to work there, at least for the time being until you can find something else that you are qualified for, but what do you do when you must keep the job and the working environment is almost unbearable? This could e several different reasons. In some cases you might be able to correct the problem or at least find a way to make it better, but sometimes there is just nothing that you can do.
For example, if there is another employee that you simply can not stand to work with, what do you do? That might depend on who the employee is and how well the boss likes them. If you know someone is held in high regard by the boss, it might not do you any good to complain and it could get you in trouble instead of helping your situation. You might ask for a transfer under the guise of some other reason without offending anyone if possible, but if you need the job and you are afraid you might end up being the one to get the boot, just keep quiet a little longer and make the best of it.
This might be the only thing you can do in other situations at work as well when you can not afford to be let go. If you have a boss that is hard to work for, sometimes you have to be the bigger person and wait until your opportunities are better before you quit or ask for a transfer. When your work load is too heavy, you might let them know that, but you also have to be prepared for them to tell you if you can not handle it you might need to look elsewhere for employment.
There are circumstances, such as real abuse or sexual harassment, that you should never tolerate for any job no matter how much you need it. You must be the one to determine if what is going on in your work place is something that is tolerable for you or not. It can be tempting sometimes to just up and quit working somewhere, but you are usually the one who ends up suffering for that. Try to find other employment before you quit a job you really need.
