A Cash Gifting Club Is About More than Money

By Keith Baxter
One of the first things that people think about when they consider starting a cash gifting club is the phenomenal amount of money that they will receive in their email boxes and postal mailboxes every day. They envision themselves going to their mail and stuffing big bags full of envelopes and letters with cold, hard cash in them. While this is true and while an individual does stand to make a great deal of money, there is more to operating the business than just reaping the financial benefits. When you are a part of or you operate a cash gifting club, you must also know how to manage people, motivate people and systems and balance your responsibilities.
One of the first things that should be done in establishing a cash gifting club is to determine what your objective is for the club. Do you want to attract new club members? Do you want to increase the amount that the members put in, so as to increase the kiln to use for other purposes? What about when unscrupulous individuals want to join your club, but you feel that it would be a big mistake -- do you say so and risk losing a potential member, or do you keep quiet and hope that nothing significant or potentially dangerous happens.
Consider also the potential member's that are apart of or considering becoming a part of your cash gifting club. They want to join your club perhaps because they've heard that the rate of return on your club's investment is substantially higher. Or maybe it's the personality mix of the club that makes it so appealing to potential members as well. It is also important to adequately determine the best membership for your club as well, based on personalities, styles and the business model of the club. Invite folks to join your money gifting club who have the same goals and aspirations that the member's have. It is not so important for these elements to match exactly, but more important for them to realize the common goal that everyone is working towards and to honor just that. Invite participants who are entrepreneurial minded, since they are likely to be successful by treating their cash gifting business as a business rather than a hobby.
Within each gifting club, it is also advantageous to take the time to cultivate each relationship to build a sense of trust amount the members. Remember, this is a cash based business and people do shy away from things that are related to finances or dealings with money. They are less likely to feel comfortable discussing money issues, but once they feel a sense of comfort within the club, their comfort level increases and the cash gifting club community thrives.
