The world always, from time immemorial, suffers from the sheep syndrome. When something new comes on the market and it creates good reviews, people rush to acquire it, be it what may. If any weigh loss exercise becomes successful, celebrities start endorsing it and millions of naive consumers try it out for themselves. When yoga was introduced, it creates an extraordinary impact in the US, and fairly quickly America, almost in unanimity, prescribed to what yoga dictated.
Is Pilates Instruction as difficult as it is believed to be?
Yoga has attracted a great deal of fan following and after they found out what asanas (positions) involved, many developed cold feet. Similarly, hearing about the wonders that Pilates does to the body, there has been a great demand for Pilates instruction. However, after finding out what it involves many do not believe that they would be able to really accomplish what they set out to do, and leave the exercises mid-way.
The doctors too are believers of yoga and Pilates and you will find many patients at these centers because the doctor actually recommended it to them. Pilates instruction is indeed tough to understand and practice in the beginning. But once you want to learn, all you need is the will power; the rest will come on its own. In order to be able to complete a Pilates course, it would be better if you start slowly.
Pilates instructions are always explained well by Pilates instructors. Your grasp of the system will depend heavily on how you like the instructor and how much you understand what he is trying to do. The Pilates instruction and exercise usually involve a combination of the mind and body with the emphasis on the latter. The good part in this exercise if that they are slow and concentrate on flowing movements.
It is actually contra-indicated to have brisk and fast movement in Pilates. Rather, this regime follows long flowing exercises which boost the body's intrinsic capacity and fitness level. People who have undergone the whole set of exercises are full of appreciation to this kind of fitness. It has been indeed found to be extremely useful for all the important muscles in the body with particular emphasis to the back. Not only does it strengthen the body, Pilates is also known to counteract fatigue and stress.
Who knows - if you use a Pilates program as a regular part of your workout, you may be considering taking the next step and becoming a Pilates instructor!
