Conditions to Consider for a Better Interior Design

The process of interior designing follows a coordinated and systematic methodology. It includes the combination of research, analysis, and integration of knowledge into the creative process. With this, the project goals are fulfilled by satisfying the needs and resources of the client to create an interior space. To achieve success with the making of an interior design the room has to satisfy 3 conditions. The conditions are as follow: the room should be functional; the room should express a mood; and the room should exhibit a sense of harmony.
To understand this further, let's try to apply these principles using the living room as an example.
To begin let us take a look at the common and usual way of how designers make a living room look or feel like. Some living rooms are just too simple where its sole purpose becomes just an area where you can toss your mail to, or put your coffee on, or a sofa where you can collapse each evening or sit down each morning to wear your shoes. Other living rooms are too stiff and formal that every part of it does not get a chance to prove its worth since nobody wants to touch or use it, because their occasional visitors feel uncomfortable like they too are on display together with the glass table, the glass candy bowls, and the potted plants.
Living rooms should combine the best of both worlds, meaning, they should be a room that allows relaxation and entertainment. After all, that is what they are supposed to be right? Per definition, a living room is a place where the ones living inside the house can enjoy certain activities such as reading, watching television, playing cards or board games and much more. It is also a place in the house where the owners bring and entertain their guests. Therefore, a living room should be designed in a way that it provides comfort, yet formal and gracious enough to host even the most important parties of your life.
To guide you through in designing your living room, start by thinking about the conditions set. First condition is for the room to be functional. So by using your imagination, you should think that the room should provide guests a place where they can be comfortable and feel at home. To build to room for a relaxed conversation, try to picture these examples. Imagine a presence of two straight-back chairs facing one another across a table with a white ottoman to provide room for a group conversation and there should be two easy-chairs angled toward one another, doesn't that paint a pretty picture?
If you have done a great job in satisfying the first condition then the other two won't present much challenge anymore. Setting the mood would then be easy. Mood should be relaxation, so the rooms design should be formal enough, but provide luxurious relaxation.
Lastly, all of the aspects in the room including the design of your ceiling, the floor, the tables and chairs, even the accessories, should all work in harmony. With this, you and your visitors won't get enough of your living room and you will be so proud you might think of building another one.
